Dover East Elementary

Welcome to Dover East Elementary

East Elementary School is recognized as a Hall of Fame school in the State of Ohio. The school is proud of the fine tradition of academic experiences, which are provided to our students during their primary educational years. Students at East Elementary School are exposed to a fine array of curriculum selections, which coincide with a variety of music, cultural arts, and recreation activities.

During the school year 2012-2013 our students continued to score well on the State Achievement tests for Grades 3, 4, & 5. East School students achieved an Excellent with Distinction rating for 2012.

On October 20th, we celebrated our 60th anniversary with a re-enactment of the 1952 parade and enjoyed visits from former East School students. The fourth grade students hosted 92 veterans at our twelfth annual Veterans' Appreciation brunch to give the students a better understanding of our freedom.

Our school houses 550 students in grades Kindergarten through five. A staff of 49 professionals blends experience and enthusiasm to meet the students' needs. In addition to several enhancement programs, our school offers supplemental help in reading, math, speech, and language skills. The PTG and community volunteers provide an extra benefit to the students' academic, social, and recreational growth. Extracurricular activities include Student Council, Science Fair, Just Say No Club, and Accelerator Reading, in addition to band, orchestra, and basketball for the fifth grade students.
